Meet Dr. Lisa Nyabinghi

Dr. Nyabinghi, PsyD, specializes in Grief Counseling, Pandemic Therapeutic Recovery, and End-of-Life Counseling. With 24 years of experience as a BIPOC Counselor and a decade of honorable service in the United States Army, Dr. Nyabinghi brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her practice. She is deeply committed to community engagement and takes pride in her role as a compassionate leader, working to support individuals through some of life’s most challenging experiences. As an established BIPOC Counselor with 24 years’ experience as well as honorably serving 10 years in the United States Army, Ms. Nyabinghi is an increasingly dedicated leader who takes pride in having a responsibility in community engagement. She began her career of service by creating, developing, and maintaining a nonprofit organization, Heal in Transition. The community-based organization assisted women by providing funds to those in need for over 15 years and aided approximately 400 participants. Dr. Nyabinghi also pioneered a training program to help individuals realize their potential and build small businesses that are still viable today.
She has mentored, counseled, and grieved with the members of her Native American Tribe, Yaya Guaili Ara Taino Yukayeke as the Behike, Spiritual Leader for over nine years. Ms. Nyabinghi has worked as a BIPOC Counselor for over 15 years, meeting the needs of clients, colleagues, and associates while homeschooling two children and completing her BS in Business Administration and PsyD in Grief Counseling. In 2019, Ms. Nyabinghi began a new venture and opened her office in North Carolina as a BIPOC Grief Counselor with Abundant Healing, LLC.
